Best of '09: Word of the Year [#Best09]

I know I have abandoned my horde of followers (which comes down to exactly two or so; you know, give or take), but I have been in a cycle of freaking out, distracting myself from freaking out and packing! I promise to write something useful or somewhat entertaining in the near future (my goal is to finish packing by tomorrow... I swear)!

In the mean time, I found a great project for December. And true to form, I'm starting late! Heck yeah!

Word or Phrase of 2009

"2009 was EPIC"

It all started with a fellow Resident Assistant; a gamer who had picked up the word while playing WOW one night. She was saying it all day, every day. Then, pretty soon, the whole lot of us were saying it during meetings, in speeches (not even joking), and while drinking a glass of wine or two.

That 'Glee' episode was epic. Did you see the way our basketball team was beat last night? Epic. Epic Fail.

I'm pretty sure I have just subconsciously adopted it into everyday vernacular, so don't judge my tweets if every other update has it. After all, this year has been pretty epic.
